![]() Growing up, we would ride in packs of my friends 15 to 20 deep, skating, playing baseball, bmximg, tackle football, playing tag, causing mischief. I was born in '92, and I feel fortunate to be part of the last generation that grew up without cell phones, social media, and most other technology. When something happened, everyone watched, they didn't look through their viewfinder. It's just so fascinating to me to see a group of people talking, all 100% focused on everyone else in the circle, and not one person staring down into their hands. People in the videos honestly looked more chill, happier, obviously had better social skills, talked more eloquently. Every generation always talks about "back in my day" but the shift from how we were before (no cell phones, no internet) to the way we live now with technology is the single greatest social shift in the history of humanity. It's quite fascinating how differently people acted and talked pre social media and cell phones.
